Production Flow: From the conventional visual effect Pipeline (flow), the new system requires moving a large portion of traditional “Visual Effect Post-production” to the front. The new virtual production’s overall efficiency and effects are elevated to a higher level:

  • Reduce costs for crew and equipment operation on physically-built sets or really on-site the scenery

Void errors and repeating efforts usually take place in transit from shooting to post-production.

Virtual Production’s experimental results had been first-time published at the SIGGRAPH annual conference, demonstrated in conjunction with the shooting of the Mandalorian network series, based on a Star Wars IP. To this point, the green-screen stage, the integrated real-time composite, and the rendering stage have been two generations of past “digital sound stages”. The virtual production stage is starting the Third Generation of Digital Sound Stage.
