Ontario Secondary School Diploma

An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is given to students who completed all required high school courses and volunteer hours. With rigorous management ensuring a quality education, the OSSD program is one of the world’s most advanced high school curricula. An OSSD graduate can apply for admission to universities in 165 countries, including Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia. In addition, PISA (An International Top-5 High School Program) has ranked OSSD among the top 5 globally.

To best serve the needs of international students so they can successfully complete their OSSD program and be admitted to their dream universities, Visionary Group has developed a comprehensive set of unique OSSD teaching dossiers and tutorials based on the OSSD curriculum issued by Ontario Ministry of Education. Our OSSD program operates on 6 terms per year, which provides extreme flexibility for students, especially international students, to schedule their study according to their circumstances. Our pedagogical approach is to integrate the online and offline components such that students can control their pace of study for the best learning productivity. We also have incorporated the contents of global-award winning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) projects into our OSSD electives. Students in our OSSD program are provided with opportunities to participate in international STEM competitions, which largely help our students to develop their capability to employ knowledge in resolving real-world problems, and to enhance their leadership.

Visionary Group has signed pathway agreements with more than 20 public universities in Canada, which allow our OSSD graduates to be directly admitted to the academic programs in these universities without having to take English proficiency tests. We also operate our own language institutes and colleges to ensure that all international students in our OSSD program can achieve the English language proficiency required for admission to universities. Consequently, all of the students who graduated from our OSSD program in the past have been admitted to universities, among which a large proportion have been admitted to top Canadian and international universities.
